New Patient Registration

To give the best possible care to our patients we have to restrict the number of patients we care for. We therefore have a practice area from which we accept new patients. It is only within this area that existing patients can move to and still remain on our list.

If patients move outside of this area we will ask them to register with another GP practice. This is sometimes upsetting, especially to patients who have been with us a long time but we do have to set limits to our practice area.

If you wish to register at this practice we will ask you to provide proof of residency. This can be either a tenancy agreement, utility bill or bank statement in the name of the person wishing to register. It must be dated within the previous 3 months.

All new patients will be offered a registration appointment with one of our Health Care Assistants. It can take some time for your notes to come through from your previous GP. The registration appointment will enable us to gather some necessary baseline information.
